Resume vs Job Match
Upload your resume and paste a job description to see your real match score — skills, keyword overlap, experience and education fit — plus concrete suggestions. Free, no signup, resume never stored.
How it works
Upload your resume (PDF, DOCX, or TXT) and paste the job description you want to match it against. The tool reads the text of your resume in memory — it is never saved — and scores it across four dimensions: how well your skills match what the job asks for, how much of the job's own terminology appears in your resume, whether your experience level fits, and whether any stated education requirement is met.
Why a score alone isn't enough
A percentage with no explanation doesn't help you improve anything. That's why every result includes the specific skills you're missing, the keywords worth mirroring in your own words (never invented), and concrete suggestions — not just a number to feel good or bad about.
Check the job itself, too
Curious what the job actually requires before you tailor your resume? Run the same posting through the Job Description Analyzer for a full structural breakdown — seniority, salary, red flags, and more.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this resume match tool free?
- Yes — upload a resume and a job description and get a score with no signup or cost.
- Is my resume stored?
- No. Your resume is read in memory to produce the score and is never saved to disk or a database. Only anonymous usage analytics (which tool, when, whether it worked) are recorded — never your resume or job description content.
- What file types are supported?
- PDF, DOCX, and plain text (.txt) files up to 8MB.
- How is the score calculated?
- The tool scores four dimensions — skills, keyword overlap, experience fit, and education fit — grounded in your actual resume text and the job description you paste, with a deterministic keyword-overlap fallback if AI scoring is unavailable. Every result includes an algorithm version so it's traceable.
