Detect the posting, score it, prefill from Career Memory, and capture what you actually applied with — without a bot clicking Submit.
Where it runs
Job search happens in the browser. The MyCareerAtlas side panel meets you on LinkedIn, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, and Zoho Recruit. You sign in with the same product session (PKCE) — no separate API keys.
Web is the intelligence center. The extension is the execution layer. Save, skip, and apply confirmation use the same APIs as the website so a role you touch in the tab is the same Career Ticket you open later.
Detect, score, prefill — never Submit
Open a posting. The panel can detect the job, show strengths and gaps against Career Memory, and prefill known answers. Prefill is gated on a short approval window so a stale tab cannot silently fill a form. Duplicate checks can warn before you apply twice.
Unknown questions can be captured onto the ticket so the next form is shorter. The extension does not click Submit. You do. That is the product, not a missing automation.
Save, skip, or confirm apply
Save and Not interested match the website. If apply detection is high confidence, the ticket can sync as Applied. Medium and low confidence ask “Did you apply?” Applied is never assumed. That keeps the pipeline honest when Easy Apply is ambiguous.
LinkedIn ingest
LinkedIn is where many people still browse. When you open a posting, ingest can add it to the same catalog used by ATS discovery. There is no search API and no background scrape of the feed. See LinkedIn job tracker for why LinkedIn alone is not a system of record.
Limits
- No silent submit on any host
- No Indeed / Glassdoor crawl from the extension
- No offline event queue — retries only, on 429 / 5xx
- In-tab WHY and catalog WHY are both evidence-based, not always identical copy

- Does it submit applications for me?
- No. It detects the posting, scores fit, prefills from Career Memory, and can warn about duplicates. You stay in control of every submit. Medium and low confidence asks “Did you apply?” instead of assuming.
- What happens when I open a LinkedIn job?
- The extension can ingest that posting into your catalog, then let you save, skip, or prefill. There is no LinkedIn search API and no background scrape of the feed.
- What if my session expires?
- A 401 sends you to sign in again. There is no silent token refresh. Retry with backoff happens on 429 and 5xx, not on 401 or other 4xx.
- Is it on the Chrome Web Store?
- Sideload and zip install work. Store listing is still in progress. The in-app Extension page has the current install path.
